We can tell that we are currently viewing the Master Template in two ways:

• The "Go to Page:" ComboBox (drop down list) is blank.
• The Step 2 tab says [Page id = "<template>"]

To get back to a regular page, we use the "Go to Page:" ComboBox (drop down list) in the normal way.
