With the Master <template> applied, we see the green background color of the <template>, and we see the yellow title at the top and the blue "Home" button at the lower right corner of the Stage. 

The background colors of the <template> have overridden the background colors of the index page, and the Controls of the <template> have been added to the controls that were on the index page already.
