But one of my friends told me to take a look at an interesting product called HIDmaker FS , from Trace Systems, that looked like it could get me going fast.  I looked at their web site, and took a chance at calling them.

Frankly, after all the bad news I had been hearing, and all the complicated code I had been seeing, I didn't expect much. I thought maybe I'd get an answering machine, or some salesman who doesn't really know anything.

Boy, was I surprised.

I talked directly to Dr. Bob, the guy who wrote the software.  He sympathized with my problem: he's heard the same thing from a lot of engineers like me.  In fact, he said he had also experienced the that same feeling of frustration and confusion when he first looked at USB.

That's why he wrote HIDmaker FS: so other people wouldn't have to experience that same problem.
